A diplomat is someone who tells you to go to hell in such a way that you look forward to the trip.

Chuck Laughridge

Gamefish bill, dead??? Hardly, and the list of stuff that is on the list to be looked at is off the charts good for fisheries here in "different" NC.

Thanks to you BR and all buddies that brought so much attention to a system that is not bent, it is broken, pro-resource folks could not have done it without you.

Good Fishing!!!

BuddyRoe

Your just mad because fisheries are restored and it wasn't done your way, so now, everybody gets a turn to play with the toys.

Wouldn't call a 111 to 0 vote in the House not to concur as there being any support for the bill what-so-ever.

Guess all the fluff attached in the Senate wasn't germane to the original bill was it Chuck?

Chuck Laughridge

Why settle for hambuger now when you get the entire buffet next session?

BR, even you know, if anybody with any sense and no commercial agenda studies what the Marine Study Commission plans to, changes will be made.

The absoulute nuclear meltdown of pro-comms fighting against 3 fish that make up less than 2% of the commercial landings in NC openned a lot of eyes, at least 82 in the House and 30 plus in the Senate, but the budget called, deals were made and we are where we are.

If I was told a year ago that legislators would look seriously at that list in the Omnibus Study Bill, it would have been like Christmas.

Like I've said before, thanks to you and others like you for what y'all brought to the table, we would not be where we are today without your actions and reactions.

Good Fishing!!!

Muck in my Boots

Chuck,
Since you brought up Christmas, let's consider what Jesus would do.

BuddyRoe

Why was the bill pulled from sub-committee and left to languish beyond cross-over deadline Chuck?

If there were the proported support for the bill as you say, it would not have died and would have slid through with ease, merit or no merit.

Huff and Puff nothing more.

Chuck Laughridge

When Jesus weighs in I will gladly listen, and y'all should too!

Now BR, the bill was used as a part of getting Rep Owens and Rep Spear to override a sitting Democratic governor's veto of the budget, plain and simple.

Think it (the override) may have gotten some bridge work over in Currituck and some ferry tolls removed from the table, but not to worry --- if you don't understand now, just be patient, it'll be obvious soon enough.

Again, and I cannot say this enough, THANKS!!!

Good Fishing!!!

BuddyRoe

Do you really expect the public to believe a 111 unanimous vote to not concour with a Senate version of the bill is the result of 2 representatives making a sweetheart back door deal?

Dean could do better than that.

There was no conferee committee appointed on the Senate side, the bill and issue is dead Chuck.

PLEASE, believe what you want, buy new nets, apply for your striper permit, and go to bed every night knowing your sand castle is gonna always be there in the morning after the tide goes out.

Reality will be the main cause of stress for folks that are never in touch with it, remember that and it will serve you well.

Thanks again!!!

F/V SALVATION

Matthew 13:47 "Jesus tells the parable of the fishing net. The kingdom of heaven is like a net that was set in the sea and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fisherman pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but they threw the bad away. This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Chuck even Jesus our lord and saviour understood bycatch. Have you ever thought about the fact commercialfishing was never talked about negitivly by Jesus, but hatred, greed, selfishness, envy, strife, and discord with your fellow man were?
Im not going to judge you Chuck or say you have any of these negative qualitys in you, I dont know you. But i do know what Gods word says in Matthew 15:18 "Jesus says but the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, these make a man unclean. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, immorality, theft, false testimony and slander, these are what make a man unclean".
Chuck all i can do as a commercial fisherman is stand on Gods word, and his promises to me. "that he would never leave me nor forsake me! Isaiah 41:3 tells me "I have chosen you and have not rejected you, So do not fear for i am with you, so do not be dismayed, for i am your God.I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand".
Chuck "reality" is were all trying to make it in a fallin world. Perfection will never come until Jesus himself steps foot on the mount of olives once again.
I pray blessing on you and your family, and your business what ever that may be.

I wish you and your's a fine day and may the good Lord bless and keep you all.

While I don't know you either, I can assume that you are an honorable man that knows the Bible and how it deals with being a steward of what the Lord has bestowed upon us all. If you think that we have done that properly to date, there marks the end of the debate, if not we can continue.

The Lord Jesus was a carpenter and a fisher of men and may have advised fishemen but I don't think biblical scholars have him being involved in fishing for anything but the souls of men. That debate deserves its own thread.

If the actions of the MFC for years, under the influence and appointments of Sen Basnight were "Godly acts", we're all Chinese aviators!!!

If the opposition by the MFC to 2010-13, that simply atates that "overfishing on a stock of fish not producing a sustainable harvest will be ended in two years" is a proper act blessed by the Lord, show me some passages to back it up!!!

I managing fisheries resources on a coin toss (and that's a huge improvement from just a few years back) is the way you think the Lord would have us do things ---- answer me this, would you leave your house every morning heading to the boat or to the store if you knew you only had a 50% chance to get there alive???

Do you think the Lord and the statutes of our state intended for all three of the commercial seats on the MFC to be filled with fish house owners instead of one commercial industry member and two real commercial fishermen like the law was written??? Do the "money changers" look after you or themselves???

Has the good Lord told us to use turtles to manage flounder??? Has it got that bad that we can't manage a fishery without including a turtle???

Were the turtles not included because fine upstanding, and I assume religious fishermen caught in lie after lie when they said they never had turtle interactions unless observers were onboard or undercover NMFS folks saw them having the interactions???

Do the fine folks at the NCFA, the NCWU, the NC Seafood Alliance (if it even exists) have no problem with lying repeatedly even after being corrected by the NCDMF, especially on the "not being able to keep a limit of "gamefish" for charter clients"???

The world is not "fallin" Charlie, there are people in it that are "fallin" and they are plenty on both the rec and commercial side of the boat.

Those that hide behind Internet anonimity to post untruths will eventually face the truth and the Lord, it may not be a pleasant experience, but everyman must make his choices daily. I do, I have, and I will live with mine everyday the Lord allows me to take a breath on this Earth, and I will continue to push, harder than some like, to have us all be the best stewards of our land and all the animals in it just as the Lord wants us to.

Good Fishing!!!

BuddyRoe

"Managing fisheries resources on a coin toss"

That may appear fine from your prospective being one holding the spare coins, but don't think the Lord would approve of gambling or risk taking in either instances, whether it be with resources or peoples livelyhoods.

Chuck Laughridge

You poor ill-informed fellow, that was simply a reference to the MFC now having to manage for their FMPs to have at least a 50% chance to succeed, please tell me you knew that!!!

If you didn't I wouldn't worry one whit about 2010-13, HB353, or HB773, just continue on with whatever you're doing now that seems to be working so well.

By the way Ken, I mean BuddyRoe, if you're not worried about these issues you'd be letting me carry on unopposed, but you ain't, so spend some time getting ready for change my friend, it shows up quicker than folks think it will most times!!!

If you're right, y'all got nothing to worry about --- if I'm right you got about a year to adapt an persever or prove that Mayan Calendar correct (maybe Mayan meant marine in their language, like the Mayan Fisheries Commission)!!! LMAO

Thanks again boys, it would have never come to this without y'all.

Good Fishing!!!

BuddyRoe

Certainly appears to me both the striped bass and the red drum FMP's have been very successful, and a long time before you fellas showed up to boot.

Only problem with speckled trout is your pitiful attempts at resource sequestration and hoarding.

Not worried in the least CH ole boy, just paying attention to more of you fellas lies and rumors.

Chuck Laughridge

Well pay attention to these numbers and one day soon you will understand quite a bit more than you do today:

Good Fishing!!!

BuddyRoe

Problem there Chuck, as usuall too many ways to come up with your favorite number, 666 .

Chuck Laughridge

May God bless you and guide you in your new endeavor, you will finally reap what you have sown.

Thanks again for all you have done!

Good Fishing!!!

BuddyRoe

Just what happens when the seeds of truth are allowed a little sunshine.

The clouds of doom and gloom move on, and the CCA fog of lies is burnt away by truth.

There is a limit to extremism, and you fellas' are head long approaching that limit, and the system will turn on all who follow in your footsteps Chuck.

Not much longer and all the lies and misinformation will begin to fall on deaf ears that have heard and seen the truth.

~

BuddyRoe

Just for you Chuck.

Chuck Laughridge

And for you BuddyRoe ----

--- 12 9 3 1

Thanks again!

Good Fishing!!!

BuddyRoe

Oh I get it now, more of those reticent plans to spring on the unwitting. Kinda like a terrorist plot to overthrow management of fisheries based on science and replace it with a whimsical dictatorship that sequesters resources for a priveleged few, and hundred year old fishing communitees fall into decay so they can be consumed for redevelopment and the quick buck.

~

Chuck Laughridge

Where do you get this jibberish???

Does the NC Seafood Alliance know you're posting again???

12 9 3 1

Thanks!

Good Fishing!!!

BuddyRoe

For sure CCA has authorized your special encrypted messages to conceal intent as always.

9 - 3 = 6

3 + 3 = 6

(12 + 3) - 9 = 6
